Most launch plans choose a time based on headquarters convenience. That is risky for global products. This framework helps you select launch windows using support availability, dependency timing, and rollback safety per region.

The RSR Model: Readiness, Support, Reversibility

  • Readiness: Is engineering, analytics, and communication material complete in each region?
  • Support: Is live support available in the first 4 hours after launch for target markets?
  • Reversibility: Can you rollback safely before low-coverage hours begin?
Original Scoring: Launch Slot Score = (Readiness x 0.4) + (Support x 0.35) + (Reversibility x 0.25). Evaluate three candidate slots and pick the highest score above 8.0/10.

Do not think only about launch minute. Define a six-hour envelope:

  1. 90 minutes pre-launch freeze and dependency verification
  2. 30-minute launch execution window
  3. 120-minute high-sensitivity monitoring
  4. 120-minute support triage and rollback readiness

Publish three messages with local time equivalents: pre-launch notice, launch confirmation, and stabilization update. Always include UTC to prevent DST confusion.
